Participants learn real painting skills, from prepping a wall to finishing a job, and how to turn that skill into paid work at real job sites.

The program
The Four Days
-
Day 1: Foundations & Safety
Tour the tools: brushes, rollers, trays, tape, drop cloths, ladders. Cover safety gear and ventilation, learn surface-prep basics like cleaning, sanding, and patching, and practice taping clean lines by hand.
-
Day 2: Core Painting Technique
Cut in around edges and trim, roll for even coverage without drips or lap marks, and keep a wet edge. Paint a section of a practice wall, then learn proper tool cleanup.
-
Day 3: Color, Estimating & Exterior
Color theory (undertones and sheen), plus exterior prep and ladder safety. Measure rooms, calculate square footage, and build a real price quote. Guest talk from a local painting contractor.
-
Day 4: Real Job Site & Graduation
Work in small supervised teams to complete a real paid project, and walk through how you would have quoted the job. Graduation ceremony with certificates, a group photo, and a take-home kit.
